The brightest scope in the world. Period. Boasting 95% light transmission at 550nm, this is our top-of-the-line riflescope. Our exclusive, hydrophobic Rainguard®* lens coating disperses condensation into microscopic specks, allowing you to literally see around moisture. All optical lens surfaces are fully multi-coated for maximum light transmission and the sharpest image. Two extra lenses improve resolution, color correction, and minimize aberration. Blackened reticle assembly minimizes reflection. Black anodized internal tube with crinkle finish minimizes unwanted reflection. Four-fold power change range.
Durability; tube and saddle are carved from the same piece of aircraft grade aluminum. Erector assembly made of aluminum and brass instead of just aluminum. The ultra-strong one-piece tube is hammer-forged from an aluminum and titanium alloy for 30% more strength than standard aluminum scopes. Reticle is attached with screws and a metal ring instead of just a sealant. Adjustable objective has a spring behind the lens to cushion impact and force the lens to remain in alignment. Waterproof/fogproof.
Precision; 1/4" or finer audible and finger-adjustable clicks. Power change ring is specially designed to maximize torque. Adjustable objective has 270 degree adjustment range allowing for more precise adjustment.
RainGuard, the revolutionary lens coating developed by Bushnell, is on this Elite 4200 riflescope. RainGuard is a special water repellent coating on which condensation .forms in much smaller droplets when the scope is exposed to rain, fog, or snow. These droplets result in a much clearer and more usable view. Water actually sheets off of rainguard coated lenses much more readily than from a standard coating. Now, the hunter will not miss the shot of a lifetime because he accidentally breathed on his scope eyepiece while aiming.
Finally, the Elite® 4200 scopes offer some of the largest magnification ranges in the industry for optimum versatility in the most challenging hunting situations.
